Councillor for Latin America
Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine (CFMV)
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine (1987) and Master in Veterinary Clinic and Surgery from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) - 1995; and doctorate in Animal Health from the Universidade Federal Rural of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ) in 2003. He was professor of Large Animal Clinic at Centro Universitário Plínio Leite (UNIPLI), of Large Animal Clinic at Universidade Castelo Branco (UCB-RJ) and Veterinary Surgery of Universidade Estácio de Sá (RJ).
He is currently an associate professor IV of the Medical Clinic of Large Animals and deputy director of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences at UFF. He works in the field of ruminants, with an emphasis on diseases of the digestive and locomotor systems.
He was president of the Buiatrics Brazilian Association, from 2003 to 2005. He held the positions of president, vice president and effective councillor of the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine of the State of Rio de Janeiro (CRMV-RJ), from 2002 to 2017.
He is currently an effective councillor to the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine - CFMV, in addition to a Councillor to the Pan American Association of Veterinary Sciences (PANVET).
